AMI for Windows

Installing it

Run the installer

Open the downloaded .exe. You can choose the install folder, and AMI installs for your user account only — it does not need administrator rights.

Set yourself up

On first launch AMI asks for a display name and language, and for confirmation that you are 18 or over and accept the terms.

Start your trial

Your 40 minutes begin the first time you run an interview session. The countdown only moves while a session is actually running.

If Windows warns you

“Windows protected your PC”. Windows SmartScreen shows this for installers it has not seen often enough yet. To continue, click More info, then Run anyway. AMI’s installer is not yet code-signed, so the publisher shows as unknown. That is expected today and is being addressed — but you should never take our word for it: verify the SHA-256 checksum above against your downloaded file before running it.
Verifying your download. In PowerShell, run Get-FileHash .\AMI-Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256 and compare the result with the checksum published above. If they differ, delete the file and download it again.
